"I've made a huge mistake"

I finally saw Star Trek! It's been a long time coming. I would have spent the rest of the summer full of regret if I hadn't.

I added her on facebook. I pretty much immediately saw that it was a mistake. I'm going to leave it for a week or so to see if I can handle it though. I'm scared that she'll want to hang out...

I'm going to Maine at the end of the month. It surprised me. I thought it was one of those things my dad talks about but never does. Surprise!

Found: iPod.
It was under my desk chair's seat cushion.

Loved:  Say Anything...
I loved Lloyd, and it was the only time I've ever thought a high school romance would last in film, and one of maybe 2 or 3 instance when I thought that at all, including real life.

Drama: Within 24 hours?
By this weekend something is going to happen, and I'm not sure if it's going to be a good thing...

I just watched Leave Her To Heaven.  I don't understand the title.  It should have been Watch Out! She's a Crazy Bitch! Seriously, I couldn't handle it.  It was about as bad as when I watch General Hospital.  Especially when she throws herself down the stairs for an at home abortion thingem.
Speaking of GH, dorky guy made it with fashion chick, but fashion chick is breaking his heart.  Dorky guy is a sad puppy.  Sad puppy!  Stop being sad!  He never gets to be a happy relationship puppy.
Nas new album is pretty hot.
I lost my iPod.  I think the cats stole it.  They've been moving my stuff around lately.
I watched Blood Diamonds today.  It was intense.  I had a choice between that and D.E.B.S. which looks to be a bad spy parody with lesbians.  I checked it out at the library and the guy there was like "oh man, that's a bad movie!" and the girl there was like "yeah... it's not what you expect" and the guy turns to me and my dad and says "It has lesbians in it.  Not sex or anything, but there are lesbians".  And I'm like that's awkward that you just told me and my dad that.  However, I like teh bad movie confirmation.  So I'm going to probably watch it today or tomorrow, depending on my mood.
I also baked a cake.  Mostly for to my sister's liking.  Which means that frosting makes my teeth hurt it's so sweet.
I'm hoping there isn't too much drama on my end next week.  I'm afraid there will be, but a girl can hope can't she?

Soooo, I don't know if I'm going to have my laptop when I get back to school. I don't like that. I really don't. But I'm not going to be buying a new one probably. It sucks.
Also I have a bajillion pounds of work this week, and I think I have work on Sunday night. I'm not sure though. Gaaah. Life.
I got to see Renee and Latasha today, and that's all I really wanted to see this week. I don't know if it's really good that it was all smooshed into one day, but I'll take what I can get. And the IB kids wanted to hang out today too. I couldn't because that's too much for one day and little old me, but I thought about it.
Today I saw Clockwork Orange and Bar Starz. Two very different movies, and I liked both of them about the same. I mean, clearly Clockwork Orange is a better movie, with interesting camera angles, great use of music, good acting, but that doesn't mean I like it. Bar Starz was one of those movies that knows that it's bad. But not in a good way. In a bad way. Like they kind of gave up on making a good movie before they even started.
I went to JCPenney today and tried close on to see what size I am. So my jeans are currently about 4 sizes too big. I am now in the single digits of clothing sizes, at least with bottoms. Tops change depending on the top. I tried on a really cute dress. Um, so yeah. That's my day.

I wonder if when I love something I ignore the faults a little too much. Like I won't allow anyone to say anything bad about Franz Ferdinand or Lost. Maybe I should be more critical and accepting of critiques. I'm getting better at doing that with people. Just not things.

Cloverfield is the shit. That's all I'll say about that.

Movies to see in 2008, an early draft

Star Trek
Cloverfield
Be Kind, Rewind
Prince Caspian
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
Get Smart
The Dark Knight
Fanboys
Harry Potter
27 Dresses

This will surely be amended as I see more trailers. I mean, most of these are sequels or based on other cool things. So, yeah... I like movies.

Juno

Juno was fabulous. It lives up to the hype. It might even exceed the hype. The movie was funny and poignant, often at the same time. The movie didn't judge actions and the motives were well understood. I loved the character development and I loved the way our views of certain characters were completely changed in a single scene. The acting was superb and so was the writing. I can't really think of much wrong with this movie. It definitely goes in my list of best movies ever made, and in teh top 5 of best comedies.
Also, the soundtrack was AMAZING! It featured Kimya Dawson (of the Moldy Peaches) heavily, along with some Kinks and Velvet Underground. The music was perfectly fitting and funny. I want it so much.

I have something to say, but it isn't worth saying.

It's Gettin' Hot In Herre

Anyways, those who get bored on Friday night and have nothing to do but channel surf, watch Wonderfalls. That is a crazy show. It's like Joan of Arcadia, but better. Because I don't like Joan of Arcadia. And this is funnier. Because she starts yelling at the inanimate objects that are talking to her and the people around her are like what? And the chick is like I won't do that, that's nice and too much work. But the things start singing all night and talking to hurt and they won't shut up. Finally the chick goes, OKAY SHUT UP!!! I'M FRICKING DOING IT ALREADY. And so she listens to the animals and this crazy stuf goes down. Today it ended up with some ex-nun about to stab the tied up main character. But it always ends up okay because.... it does. And this week the priest met his kid.

Anyways. Watch it. It takes some higher intelligence to follow the madness and psychological craziness, but I trust y'all can handle it. I mean I can.
